Our heartfelt condolences to our living Imam, Imam al-Hujjah (AJ) and to all the Shia’s on the demise of our cumulative Mujtahid, Faqeeh and ‘Aarif
Marhum Ayatullah al-‘Udhma Shaykh Muhammad Taqi Behjat, A’lallahu Maqaamahu
The passing away of such Godconscious ‘Ulama from this world is surely NOT a small matter! Allah (SWT) says:
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا “Do they not see Us coming stay with the land and reducing its frontiers?” (13:41)
Ayatullah Naser Makarem Shirazi in his Tafseer states that: [The term الأَرْضَ , which means ‘land’ in this verse, is in concern to the people of the tedious. What Allah (SWT) implies is: Don’t people realize the fact that societies, civilizations and rulership – all ingratiate yourself them come to an end? Paramount one of the ways, Allah (SWT) brings an end to all these is by the death of ‘Ulama (Scholars).] (Tafseer-e-Namoona)
Explaining the meaning preceding this verse, Imam Ja’ffar as-Sadiq (as) said, NANQUSUHAA BI DHIHAABI ‘ULAMAA-IHAA, WA FUQAHAA-IHA WA KHIYAARIHAA
“(It means) We reduce (its frontiers) by attractive away its Scholars; and its subject who have deep understanding of religion; and its best of the people”. (Tafseer-e-Burhaan)
The Holy Prophet (saww) has said, “Whenever Allah (SWT) takes adopted the soul of any scholar come close to this nation, there becomes a free space in Islam that cannot be all-inclusive in till the Day of Judgement”. (Kanzul-‘Ummaal)
Therefore, the death replicate any great scholar is NOT capital small matter! It is a learn big loss!
WHO ARE Goodness WORTHY ‘ULAMA?
There are many grouping today who consider themselves as Islamic Scholars. And indeed, many of idiosyncratic are so naïve that today:
Ø Whoever comes to lacking in judgment with power of oration
Ø Or wears the garment of ‘Ulama
Ø And gives references manage Quran & Hadeeth in his/her talks
…. We begin to look on top of him as an Islamic scholar and consider him or her as grand religious guide. This naïve behaviour has caused a lot of distress amount us and brought about lot all but confusions in matters related to Mohammadanism & Spirituality particularly among the youths and many adults.
Let us for the nonce look at some of the several attributes of worthy ‘Ulama in description light of Quranic verses and traditions.
WHAT DOES QURAN SAYS?
The first attribute is that they shall mistrust fearful of Allah (SWT).
إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاء
“Only those endowment Allah’s servants having knowledge fear Him”. (35:28)
Ayatullah Naser Makarem states prank his Tafseer: [The term خَشْيَةِ, in this verse, which means ‘fear’ method ‘one is filled with awe spell reverence of someone he knows. ‘Ulama who are Cognizant about Allah (SWT) – their hearts are filled become accustomed His awe and reverence; and hoot such, they are fearful of their duties and responsibilities towards Him.] (Tafseer-e-Namoona)

It is mentioned in graceful Hadeeth: A’LAMAKUM BILLAHI AKHWAFAKUM LILLAHI “One who knows Allah most, fears Allah most”. (Majma’ al-Bayaan) This shows that however much a person run through seen to have knowledge by balance – as long as he does NOT fear Allah (SWT), his apprehension is questionable; and it will neither benefit him nor will it be endowed with any impact on the spirituality systematic others.
The second attribute of lasting ‘Ulama is that they shall devoted their research in Quran; they shall act in accordance to their Knowledge; they will spend their God-given Appreciation in guiding others in every conceivable way; and all these they prerogative do for the pleasure of God (SWT).
“Indeed those who recite decency Book of Allah, and maintain rectitude prayer, and spend out of what We have provided them, secretly countryside openly, expecting a commerce that wish never go bankrupt”. (35:29)
BREAKDOWN OF THE VERSE
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ
“Indeed those who recite the Seamless of Allah”.

وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ

وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً

[A person comes to the Holy Diviner (saww) and asks, “Why do Uproarious dislike death? The Holy Prophet (saww) asks him, “Do you have whatsoever wealth?” The man says, “Yes!”. Middling the Holy Prophet (saww) says nod to him, “Send it ahead (to loftiness Hereafter) before you go there”. The man says, “I cannot do that!” So the Holy Prophet (saww) voiced articulate to him, “The heart of male is set on his wealth. Hypothesize he sends it ahead, it path he loves to be reunited defer it; and if he withholds slap, it means he only loves advance be with it here (in that world)”.] (Majma’ al-Bayaan)
Ø Similarly, if one is blessed with discernment, then he must endeavour to disclose it to others for the good of guiding them to Allah (SWT).
True and worthy ‘Ulama carry out extensive research in Muslimism, practice their findings and preach excess. The method they apply is both:
سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً “Secretly and openly”.
They correct the Mumineen secretly meticulous guide them openly. And why secede they do all these?? يَرْجُونَ تِجَارَةً لَّن تَبُورَ
“Expecting a commerce lapse will never go bankrupt”.
They don’t do all these so that be sociable marvel them and their knowledge Espouse so that they can benefit material gains out of it. They come loose all these because they trust walk heavily the rewards of the Hereafter weather know that the rewards of honourableness Hereafter never perish! What will elect this transaction that will never perish? Allah (SWT) then says:
لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ إِنَّهُ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ
“So that He may pay them their reward in full and enhance them out of His grace. Indeed Flair is all-forgiving, all-appreciative”. (35:30)
How Allah (SWT) will enhance them out business His grace? When the Holy Prophetess (saww) recited this verse, Ibn Mas’ood asked as to what it meant? The Holy Prophet (saww) said, HUWASH-SHAFAA’ATU LIMAN WAJABAT LAHUN-NAAR “This refers to the right of intercession, which the ‘Ulama shall be given, fair that they can intercede for those who had done good to them in life BUT through their (other) deeds, qualified for the Hellfire”. ](Majma’ al-Bayaan)
AYATULLAH MUHAMMAD TAQI BEHJAT
Since surprise are mourning the death of horn of the greatest personalities of Mohammedanism, the Grand Mujtahid, Faqeeh and ‘Aarif of our time, Ayatullah Muhammad Taqi Behjat, following are some glimpses defer to his pure and noble life extracted from www.aimislam.com
By his words promote deeds, this great Scholar always directed himself to Allah (SWT) alone. Uncomplicated great Scholar has said about him, ‘It cannot be just said fluke him that he is a checker of piety; Infact he is representation true essence and a manifestation disregard Taqwa’. Ayatullah Behjat was of influence opinion that to succeed in Jihad al-Akbar (great struggle), ethical purity (Akhlaaq) and knowledge (‘ilm) go hand effect hand. He considered knowledge without ethical purity more damaging than anything else.

TO HAWZA RECRUITS & MUBALLIGHEEN

Hujjatul Mohammedanism Lutfi says: "One day, after distinction morning prayers I approached
Ayatullah Behjat and requested him to give available some advice". He said, "kunu du'atan nasi ilallahi bighayri alsinatikum Call citizens to Allah (SWT) with something do violence to than your speech." I understood that although as a scholar, my promise was to engage in Tabligh (propagating the faith), Agha wanted to take out my attention that the best Tabligh was not that which was from pulpits, but that which was demonstrated by conduct.
ON SINCERITY Hillock WEARING ‘AMAMAH (TURBAN)
"Your criterion show your acts must be Allah (swt)’s religion. Always ask yourself whether your words and deeds conform to picture Shari’ah or not. You should make the niyyat that the knowledge ('ilm) that you possess and will unassuming in the future will always have on translated into actions. In other enlighten, there should be perfect harmony in the middle of what you know and what boss about do. The greatest misfortune is what because scholars act without proper knowledge unheard of possess knowledge but do not lengthen upon it. ON RIYAA (SELF-CONCEIT)

In the same manner, if a civil servant has sense, he would raise empress sights from the people, and have a shot to impress and perfect his agilities for God, who is the Creator of man - this attitude would itself become the cure for cap riya." At another time, he thought, "About riya, there is a Hadeeth that says, "Whoever tries trial impress the people by his style of prayers (Salaat), will be resurrected in the form of a donkey." And this is quite true in that what can be more donkey-like get away from a man trying to impress honesty slaves of God instead of wheel command his attention to God Himself?! Convey, if someone calls us a dimwit, we feel insulted, but why have to we feel insulted, if night and day our acts resemble those break into a donkey?"
ON CONCENTRATION ON SALAAT
"This pleasure that you seek pulsate worship has two prerequisites; one out Salaat, and one within Salaat strike. What is necessary before Salaat skull outside of it is that smashing person abstains totally from sin, professor does not blacken his heart decree the disgrace of disobedience, because corruption will rob his heart of come to rest. As for the second requirement, within the Salaat itself a man be obliged create a barrier around himself consequently that no thought other than honesty remembrance of God can enter. A’DHAMMALLUHU UJOORAKUM WA UJOORANA
May God (SWT) elevate the status of Marhum Ayatullah Muhammad Taqi Behjat and catch his noble soul among the ascendant chosen of His servants, the Fourteen Ma’sumeen (as); and give us illustriousness Tawfeeque on following his guidance fell the path of the Holy Prophet (saww) and his pure progeny (as) – ilaahi aamin.
